International 433 Dual Engine Pay Scraper - 2nd in the Construction Pioneers Series
Although International Harvester had been manufacturing crawlers since 1928, it became a serious player in the earthmoving business in 1944 with the establishment of its Construction Equipment Division. In the late 1950s IH introduced its own line of Pay Scrapers.
This much anticipated, authentic diecast metal replica is assembled from more than 340 parts from all new tooling! The open bowl Model 433 Scraper was powered by a tractor-mounted International V-800 turbocharged diesel engine, a scraper-mounted International DT-466 turbocharged diesel, two single stage torque converters, and two 5-speed powershift transmissions. It offered 14 to 21 cubic yard capacity, 48,000 lbs of payload, a 310 flywheel horsepower engine up front and a 185 flywheel horsepower engine at the rear.
This authentic replica is based on actual factory-original manuals and specs. It features fully detailed front and rear engines; a diecast metal ROPS canopy; authentically detailed instrument panel including control levers, brake and accelerator pedals; hydraulic lines and cylinders; windshield and windshield wiper; front and rear fenders; rear mudflaps; realistic canopy screen over the bowl area; wire grab handles; authentic International and IH markings from the era; and an actual replica of the original Operator?s Manual measuring 5.75"x 7.50" in shrink-wrapped packaging.
Functioning parts include the scraper bowl which raises and lowers; a twin-cylinder ejector gate that moves forward and backward; a power-down apron that opens and closes; and the articulating tractor with gooseneck-mounted cylinders.
