1929 Ford Model 'A' Roadster Dry Lakes Racer - Limited Edition 1 of 2500 - The "Origins of Speed" collection features 1/18th scale die cast 1929 Ford Model A roadster bodies on 1932 Ford frames. Based on the first "hot rods" that originated out of southern California in the mid-1930's through the late 1940's, this limited series of eight releases faithfully reproduce the early days of automotive high performance. This Red Oxide primered #44 replicates a late 1930s California Dry Lakes racer with the following modifications: Ford model A 4-cylinder engine with Riley 2-port OHV cyl. head, dual Winfield carburetors, model A distributor ignition, trunk mounted battery, tubular exhaust header (under body - with no muffler or tailpipe), open engine compartment, chrome radiator support rods, no windshield, no headlights, 39 Ford teardrop taillights, stock 29 interior and seat, Bell 4-bar steering wheel, '39 Ford rear axle assembly with hydraulic brakes and '35 Ford 16-inch wire wheels, stock hubcaps, vintage tires. All typical and highly accurate for the time period. Includes stainless steel "timing tag" and 8-page historical booklet. Highway 61 Collectibles
